isn't it kinda odd that this thing has spell check on it? that's just amusing to me for some reason.... :) anyway.... ok, so i'm extremely bored... i have tons of homework that i should be doing.... should... but i ummm.... i'm... improving my grasp on the art of procrastination!!! you'd think that i'd be able to sit down and focus and do work when nobody's around, in person or online... but, for some reason, i can't... i'm restless.. i don't wanna work.. so i'm doing this... it's kinda pathetic.. how dependent on other people can i get?? what happened to the only child in me who spent basically all day long by herself.. always entertaining herself... never had a brother or sister or knew the neighbors very well... so i entertained myself.. some times with the aid of the cats :) sigh....

well, on a happier note, i did have a very nice day. we had an interesting conversation in worldview. it gave me a whole lot to think about. especially the comments about cartoons like bugs bunny and tweety desensitizing kids to violence and them not bein able to understand the difference between cartoons and reality.. i completely disagree with that. and it's not a random opinion like most of mine. this one actually comes from personal experience. when i was growing up i wasn't allowed to watch certain tv shows like the power rangers, or smurfs, or the simpsons.. but i could watch bugs bunny and tweety. i remember actually getting up early on saturday mornings to watch it. i never thought it was real. i never even considered the fact that i might could drop an anvil on sombody's head and they just pop back up. (of course that might be because i was raised with a very firm grasp on reality.. i never believed in santa clause or the easter bunny or the tooth fairy... i grew up knowing that they were just stories.. ) i think people underestimate kids.. they can tell the difference between fantasy and reality most of the time. but anyway, the point is that i wasn't desensitized by the cartoon violence. when that was present in my life, it in no way made it any less scary. in no way did it seem any less real.. in no way did i even connect cartoons to that. when that happens you don't think about stupid stuff like that... you just think about escape... anyway, i must actually do work now...
