(ok, so i didn't write this for this site.. i actually wrote it while ago for the other one i started when i was really bored.. but it still works..)
i really didn't plan on writing in this anymore... i know i'll become addicted... oh well...
so anyway, last night i had the most, i don't know, i guess you could call it fun, that i'd had in a while.. about 1:30-2am-ish.. somewhere around there i just decided to go outside and sit on the steps that go down towards msc (it was very cold outside by the way ) and the sky was soooo clear... the stars were perfect.. and it was so quiet. not like deathly silent or anything, but a peaceful quiet. there were still dogs and crickets and miscellaneous and random peoples voices every once in a while, but over all it was... Still. i went out there with the intention of singing Christmas carols. but i had to just sit there for a long time and soak up the silence and stare at the stars. i didn't want to destroy the night, but at the same time it was giving me a very great desire to sing. it's a very hard thing to break a silence like that, and when you do, to find a song that's not disruptive to it, but rather adds to the silence, if that makes any sense. but i did discover that Christmas carols in minor keys work very well for the most part :) i have no clue how long i was out there. they eventually had to send somebody to come find me. i was wondering what time it was, but not enough to make me leave. i love stars. it was one of those nights that makes the world seem so big, and the universe so enourmously vast, but at the same time shows how small everything truly is...
